Dispute Resolution
We know that life is best lived at peace but we also know that this is an ideal that is hard to achieve. All too often, you may find yourself in a dispute, whether its with a neighbour or a contractor. When disputes arise, they can be daunting and time can slow down making it seem a like a dark tunnel with no end in sight. Our role in the process is to bring any dispute to a close as quickly as possible whilst fighting your corner and representing your interests as best as possible in the process. That said, we’re here to give you the hard truths and will never try to escalate your dispute where the merit isn’t there.
Some types of disputes which we can help with may include:
- Trusts of land and trustee disputes (TOLATA)
- Property disputes (landlord and tenant and freeholder and leaseholder work)
- Internal (director and shareholder disputes) and external (contractual enforcement) company work
- Boundary disputes
- Contract claims
- Trust disputes
- Dog custody disputes
Private Property & Conveyancing
Whether you’re buying your first home, or downsizing as the kids have flown the nest, we’re here to make the process as stress free and streamlined as possible. Our pragmatic approach ensures you can be in your new home as soon as possible whilst offering practical solutions to any problems or risks. Conveyancing has become just that in modern times and some firms may feel that you’re on a conveyer belt, moving at glacial speeds. We believe conveyancing doesn’t need to be like that and our personal attention and rational advice can make you feel like we’re moving in along side you.
We also assist property transfers, whether its part of your estate planning or you just want to gift a loved one something that will provide them with security and stability.
We also assist with lease extensions and collective enfranchisement along with applications for easements or release of covenants. More details on these areas can be found here.
Family & Matrimonial
If ever there’s a time in life which can feel as lonely as possible, it can be during a divorce. When love has left and its time to start a new life, the last thing needed is a solicitor adding to the acrimony. Our ethos on matrimonial affairs is to recognise that divorce doesn’t need to be a time of hostility. We therefore try to find solutions that allow the parties to end their marriage without long lasting feelings of negativity to the person they once decided to enter into a marriage contract with. We also work with expert barristers who are there to offer pragmatic and honest advice on how financial matters unfold at court.
A natural human instinct is to protect ones family. Unfortunately, this can sometimes include protecting them from their own family. Applications such as specific issues, contact and residence can create times of uncertainty and we know that matters of this nature are often best resolved without the need to involve the courts. However, sometimes this cannot be avoided and we’re here to support you legally and professionally in time of such turmoil where such applications are needed. Taking that next big step in your life can be filled with excitement but also anxiety for what the future holds. Whilst romance and love are wonderful notions, we also understand that there is a practical side to be considered which is to protect your assets against the unknown. One way of doing this is to create a pre-nuptial agreement which sets out what should happen to assets brought into the marriage in the event of its unfortunate breakdown. A pre-nuptial agreement itself is not binding in England & Wales but is circumstantial under the Matrimonial Causes Act. However, one which converts to a post nuptial after the marriage and is frequently reviewed can bind the parties.
Wills & Probate

Wills and probate can often feel overwhelming, especially when emotions are involved, and some firms can make the experience feel cold or transactional. We don’t believe it should be like that. Our personal approach and straightforward advice ensure you feel supported, informed, and in control throughout.
